Innovating a more inclusive workforce

Problem Statement:
Japan’s work culture has long been perceived as rigid and male-dominated.
The campaign aimed to challenge traditional perceptions of Japan’s workforce by showcasing national efforts to empower women and people with disabilities, especially through innovation and inclusive technologies.
Solution:
As the campaign’s creative lead and client-side liaison, I collaborated closely with The Washington Post Brand Studio to ensure the content was strategically aligned and visually engaging.

Visualizing complex data about the labor force and employment in Japan through hand-drawn illustration to show human aspect of the data.

As it is often seen as a serious, difficult topic, we used onceptual illustrations to communicate how initiatives to transform the workforce can be life changing.
